Circular received from Dental council of India (DCI) dated on 25/07/2025 through The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University and Dental Council of India (DCI) to conduct Anti-ragging week.
A meeting of Anti-ragging committee members were held on 29.07.2025 presided over by Principal Dr.G.Raj Tilak.M.D.S., Details of circular were discussed and as per UGC guidelines various programs were planned by Anti-ragging committee members.
Dr.K.Ishwariya.M.D.S., Convenor,Anti-Ragging Committee ,Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology was incharge of various competitions and was requested to conduct the events as per the schedule.
Circular containing the details of Anti-ragging week events with rules of competitions were notified to students and staff on 29.07.2025
Anti –ragging charts downloaded from the UGC Website were displayed in the college and hostel notice boards.
ESSAY WRITING COMPETITITON was conducted on 01/08/2025
Topic of Essay was “MENANCE OF RAGGING IN PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES”.
SLOGAN CONTEST COMPETITION was conducted on 01.08.2025
ART CONTEST was conducted on 01.08.2025
LOGO DESIGNING was conducted on 01.08.2025
ANTI-RAGGING AWARENESS SEMINAR was conducted on 06.08.2025 Dr.M.S.Sathyashankar.M.D.S., Reader, Department of Prosthodontics addressed the gathered students & emphasized the serious implications of ragging to create a safe learning environment for students. III BDS students attended the program. Awareness videos showing the harmful effects of ragging were also screened to the gathered students.
ANTI-RAGGING AWARENESS RALLY Campus rally was conducted holding placards and shouting slogans to curb the menace of Ragging on 06/08/2025. I & II BDS students had actively participated in the rally.
